An introduction to IamResponding wearable apps and their functionality.
Wearable apps from IamResponding seamlessly integrate with smartwatch devices, empowering field responders to access and interact with critical system features directly from their wrist. This real-time connectivity enhances incident management and response, and ensures responders remain informed throughout any situation.
Agency Selection
The agencies list is the landing page for the IaR smartwatch app.
Users managing multiple agencies with IaR can switch between them from this page.
Once an agency has been selected, users will be directed to the CAD incidents list.
Incident Notification
Users will receive real-time notifications for CAD incidents.
CAD Incident Details
Structured Incident Data
When viewing a CAD incident with structured data, the following fields are displayed:
- Incident Type
- Priority
- Street Address
- Location Name
- Cross Street
- Lat/Lon
*Changes to CAD incident data will be reflected in real time.
At the bottom of the page, users can view additional incident information by selecting “Incident Details”, or “Comments”.
Incident Details:
- Incident Status (Open/Closed)
- Incident/Event ID
Comments:
- All associated event comments.
- Most recent comments will display at the top.
*Changes to CAD incident data will be reflected in real time.
Plain Text Incident Data
Users will see the full message body as received from CAD, displayed within the CAD incident details page.
*Incidents received via plain text methods (SMTP/SNPP) will not provide real time incident updates.
Exiting CAD Incident Details
To exit the CAD incident details, users can select the left arrow at the top left of the screen, or the “Close” button at the bottom of the CAD incident details.
Both buttons will direct the user to the CAD incidents list
Respond Now
Users can indicate their response to an incident directly from an incident notification or within the CAD incident details.
Upon selecting “Respond Now”, users will be provided a list of response options for their agency.
After selecting a response, the app will confirm that it has been successfully sent.
Responses Reflected in Real Time
Responses made within the IaR smartwatch app are reflected in real-time on the Now Responding dashboard in both the IaR mobile apps and website dashboard.
CAD Incidents List
From the CAD incidents list, users may scroll through previous incidents that have been sent to their IaR system.
The incidents list should display the most recent incidents at the top of the page.
Users can manually refresh the list by swiping down from the top. A “Refresh List” button will then appear.

How do I set up the IamResponding wearable app on my smartwatch?
The IamResponding wearables application is compatible with both iOS (Apple Watch) and Android (Wear OS) smartwatch devices.

Is the wearable app compatible with all smartwatches?
The IamResponding wearables application is compatible with Apple Watch OS 9 and above, and Android Wear OS 3 and above.
Can I utilize the IaR wearables app if my phone is not nearby?
Yes, as long as your smartwatch has a direct connection to the internet (Wi-Fi or cellular data), and you are logged into the IamResponding mobile app on your paired device, the IaR wearables app may still be utilized.
Can I view the Now Responding list from my smartwatch?
No. Currently, users are only able to select and send a response from the smartwatch app. Users will still need to utilize the mobile app or web dashboard to view the now responding list.
Can I listen to TwoToneDetect Audio from the smartwatch app?
No. TTD audio is not available within the IaR smartwatch app at this time.
