Understanding and Using IaR's Do Not Disturb (DND) Settings
IamResponding (IaR) offers customizable Do Not Disturb (DND) settings that each member can manage in two places: their online member profile and their app settings.
How to Access and Configure DND in the App

Tap the Menu in the upper-left corner of the app.

Go to My Settings.

Scroll to the bottom of the page to the DND settings.

Tap on the section to configure your preferences:

Android: Check the boxes to activate your desired settings.

iOS: Switch the buttons to green to activate your desired settings.

DND Customization Options
The DND feature is highly customizable, allowing you to control when DND is active and what it blocks.

| Do Not Disturb Type | Scheduled: | DND automatically turns on and off based on a daily, pre-set 24-hour schedule. |
| Manual: | DND stays On or Off until you manually change the status. | |
| Do Not Send Me | (Select Message Types) | Choose which Message Types you want to block alerts for (e.g., system announcements, specific incident types). Note: You can only block message types you have already opted to receive. If an option is grayed out, you are not receiving those messages anyway. |
| VIA | (Select Delivery Methods) | Choose HOW you want to block alerts (e.g., text, email). Note: You can only block methods you currently use. If an option is grayed out, you are not using that delivery method. |

For the last two sections, a green switch (iOS) or checked red box (Android) means that the message type or delivery method will be blocked when DND is active.
Blocking Push Notifications
If you choose to block PUSH Notifications, you must select WHICH device you want them blocked on. You can only block devices that you have previously set to receive messages.

How DND Affects Messages
When DND is ON for a specific message type or delivery method:

Messages subject to your settings will NOT be delivered to you by any blocked method (e.g., you won't get a text or email alert).

Internal IaR messages and dispatch notifications will still appear on their respective pages within your app. However, no audible alerts or notifications will accompany them while DND is active.

All messages will be listed in your systems Dispatch Messages Report, with "DND" next to the recipient's address if DND was active for that message destination at the time of sending.
Important Distinctions

IaR DND vs. Device DND: IaR's DND settings are completely independent of your mobile device's internal "Do Not Disturb" settings (part of your phone's operating system). IaR cannot change or override your device's own DND settings.

DND Override: A permission-based, optional IaR DND override function exists for administrators to send Internal Messages to you in extraordinary situations. However, this option cannot override your mobile device's internal DND settings.
