What is it:
Dispatching is one of the core features that our users think of when they subscribe to IaR, and it also drives other features/functions within IaR such as Mapping, Emergency Screen, Alerts, Station Alerting and more.
We of course want it to work correctly for you.
There are many steps that a dispatch/incident must go through before it reaches your device.
Troubleshooting:
Dispatch functions, settings and tools are located on the IaR Website and in the IaR App.
Initial Research on the IamResponding Website:
-1) Administrative Functions – Reports – Dispatch Messages
Run the date range for which any dispatch/incident messages are missing.
-On the report do you see the incidents that you did not get alerted to?
If NO – IamResponding didn’t receive the incident email/message from your dispatch center.
If YES – We need to move to Step #2.
-2) Administrative Functions – System Settings – Dispatch Parsing Settings
Select the profile with a Delivery Method for TEXT AND PAGER MESSAGES
-Enter the profile by clicking on the PENCIL button to the Right.
-Scroll down past all the rules to the LIVE PREVIEW. Are any dispatches/incidents MISSING from the Right-Side Parsed Text. Could it be that one of the rules is eliminating the dispatch that was meant to be received?
Consult with IaR Staff, if needed.
Initial Research on the IaR App:
-1) Open the Left Side Menu, select Incidents.
-On the screen, do you see the incident(s) that you did not get alerted to?
*Use the search Magnifying Glass, if needed.
If NO – The dispatch/incident list should display all incidents unless parsing rules on the IamResponding Website have been applied to remove the dispatch/incident. Parsing is located on the IamResponding Website. See Step #2 above for Initial Research on the IamResponding Website.
Consult with IaR Staff, if needed.
If YES – We need to move to Step #2.
-2) For some reason the ALERT wasn’t received for a dispatch/incident that IamResponding did receive and properly process. It’s advised that we start by checking settings on the member profile and under the Activated Mobile devices.
