Hydrant Transfer
Giving permanent control of Hydrants to another Agency
This will be useful when you have added hydrants that may be in the jurisdiction of another department. You can transfer the control of those specific hydrants to the neighboring agency without having to delete them, and the other agency re-add them.
- When logged into the IamResponding Website, go to the Administrative Functions.
- You do need the Profile Permission to, Add/Edit Hydrants.
- Hover over Manage Hydrants & Map Markers – Click on Add/Edit/Delete Markers
- There is a New button in the lower Left corner, Under the Map. Click on, Transfer Hydrants.
- You will see this window appear, providing some initial instructions. Click ACCEPT when you are ready to continue.
Your cursor will appear as a PLUS sign. You will click and drag, opening/expanding a Rectangle on the screen. Expand the Rectangle so that it encompasses the hydrants that you plan to transfer control of.
Each of the 8 points around the Rectangle allow you the adjust the size/placement of the Rectangle as needed, allowing you to be more precise.
You will see these 3 Icons to the lower LEFT side of your Map.
DELETE will not delete the hydrants, it will delete the Rectangle that you had placed.
CANCEL will leave the transfer function entirely.
When you click on SAVE, you will see this window appear.
You will need the IaR ID number of the department you want to transfer control to.
You need to ask them for their number. Their number can be found in 2 easy to locate places:
- On the IaR App, when you open the Menu on the LEFT, touch your Agency's Name in the top Red Area. This will take you to the Agency List. Your Agency's ID# is listed in [brackets] .
- The Agency ID can also be located on the IaR Website, go to:
Administrative Functions → System Settings → Dept. ID/*Mutual Aid ID’s
The Agency ID will appear in the upper RIGHT corner.
Once you have entered the Agency ID into this screen, click on ACCEPT.
Please read all warnings. This transfer is not able to be reversed once completed. Click ACCEPT.
You will receive this notice that your transfer to the other agency was completed.
You will not be able to see the hydrants on your IaR Map, UNTIL you choose to see ALL HYDRANTS on your Map Filter Settings.
