Scheduling – IamResponding

Formal or informal crew scheduling ensures that you are aware in advance if there are enough personnel available to respond to an incident.

There are two methods for inputting your availability in the 'On Duty' section of IaR:

Both options are accessible through the IamResponding website and the IaR app.

Website

You'll find the options in the left side menu of the app once you open it.

Standard Shift

This shift type specifies a start and end time.
Typically, a Standard Shift is scheduled before the designated start time.
These shifts can be set to recur.
You can include other members in this shift if multiple people are working the same timeframe.

Quick Shift

Quick Shifts are dynamic; they begin when you start them and do not follow specific times like :00, :15, :30, :45 as Standard Shifts do.
You can mark your availability or unavailability with an unspecified end time.
This feature is particularly useful for very dynamic agencies but requires accurate maintenance to ensure the On Duty schedule remains correct.

Editing/Deleting Shifts of Other Members

Members with the necessary permissions can edit or delete shifts for others in the agency.
This can be performed via the website or app.
Under the section to add a Standard Shift, you'll find an option to select other members.
Choose the member whose shift you wish to edit or delete and proceed as if changing your own shift.
