Sharing Your Live Audio Feed with Another Agency
If another agency is already streaming a live audio channel, you can have access to that feed without the need for you to have a separate equipment investment. You will need to reach out to that agency to coordinate but to make the process easier here are the steps that need to take place.
⚠️. IMPORTANT NOTE ⚠️
Both the Host Agency and the End-User Agency must have a separate, active subscription to Live Audio for this integration to work.
Instructions for the Equipment Host Agency
Step 1: Access Chanel Settings
- Through your Go to Administrative Functions > Live Audio > Live Audio Channels.
-
Locate your existing channel, click the three dots (...) next to it, and select Edit.
Step 2: Channel Details
Ensure that the Description, Radio System Name, and Latitude/Longitude fields are completely filled out.
- Why this matters: The system requires these geographical and system details to properly facilitate regional sharing with nearby agencies. Ensure your GPS coordinates accurately reflect your general area so other agencies can identify the channel's purpose.
Step 3: Adjust Sharing Preferences
Choose how you want to grant access to the feed.
-
To share broadly (No Addional Steps outside of this Article): Select the option to share with ALL IamResponding agencies that currently have Live Audio in your area. This makes the channel visible to any agency within your immediate geographical radius without requiring mutual aid ID links.
-
To share with a specific partner agency (Requires Extra Steps outside the ones outline in this article): Select the option to share with specific agencies. For this to work, both agencies must exchange and enter each other's unique Subscriber IDs under Settings > Dept. ID / Mutual Aid ID's.
Step 4: Save
- Click Save Changes.
