Regional Live Audio Setup & Access
Purpose: This guide outlines the necessary front-end configuration steps to enable and access the regional shared audio channel(s).
Please note you are required to have the necessary configuration in place from The IamResponding Team before proceeding on these steps including Live Audio being enabled for each agency.
Part 1: Configuring the Regional “Hub” Account
Once the capability of Live Audio has been enabled for your agencies. Please log in to system that will be hosting the equipment and follow these steps to create and share the audio channel(s), This often times will be a dedicated Regional Configuration Hub System not tied to a specific agency which may be formally known as "Regional TwoToneDetect"
- Create the Live Audio Channel(s): Follow the steps in the IamResponding knowledge base article:
Live Audio Set Up
When you reach Step 3 (Setting up Sharing), select one of the following options:
- Share with specific IamResponding Agencies (Regional Only): This requires receiving agencies to have the mutual aid ID input into their system for the Regional Configuration Hub System
OR
-
Share with ALL IamResponding Agencies (Open/All): This opens the channel to any IAR user that has Live Audio within a geographical radius. This bypasses the need for receiving agencies to complete the Mutual Aid setup.
- Save the channel configuration and continue with the Live Audio Setup guide to install and configure the API and software on your equipment
