What is what3words?
what3words is a location technology that assigns a 3-word ‘address’ to
every 10ftx10ft square across the globe. This means that latitude and
longitude coordinates can be easily communicated in a human-friendly
format that is less prone to error than long strings of numbers.
what3words enables telecommunicators to convey location information
to field responders by text, written messages in a CAD narrative, by radio
or phone.
IamResponding users will be able to identify their own what3words
location on the IaR App, and also search for what3words ‘addresses’ on
the IaR App and IamResponding Website.
Finding your location - IaR app
You can locate your own what3words ‘address’ by touching the blue dot
on your IaR App Mapping screen.
what3words location information as well as conventional latitude and
longitude will be displayed.
In the IaR App and IamResponding website, other IamResponding users
can find your 10ft square location anywhere on the globe, with the 3
human-friendly words that are displayed.

You can search for a what3words ‘address’ by touching the double arrow
icon on left side of the search bar.
→When the red icon appears to the left, you can enter the 3-words of a
location you are trying to find.
→Enter a what3words ‘address’ in the format, word.word.word
what3words will give suggestions that are similar, listing the City/State.
